A few important points

• Carefully read the lease contract and its duration (10 months or 12 months)
• If nothing is mentioned, ask the landlord to add a clause in case of breach of contract during the year
• Check the conditions associated with the rental guarantee deposit (in general, landlords require a rental guarantee deposit equivalent to 1 or 2 months' rent)
• The rent may include all charges, some of them, or just the rent. You should therefore pay close attention to the actual cost charged. If utilities are not included in the rent, their amount must be indicated (water, gas, electricity, rubbish tax)
• Pay attention to the general condition of the premises and the presence of safety equipment (traces of dampness, brightness, smoke detectors, etc.)
• Check whether the room is furnished or unfurnished
• Never sign a document without reading it in full

Located along the E411 motorway and the Nationale 4, as well as the Brussels-Luxembourg railway line, Arlon is easily accessible by car or train.

By bike or on foot

Sports enthusiasts can visit VF Bike to purchase a bike and take part in repair and maintenance workshops. The non-profit organization Question d'Equilibre also offers bike workshops where you can learn how to repair, maintain or build your own bike, without too much expense. Space, advice, tools, recycled and new parts are all available.

The campus is located close to a supermarket and a 10-minute walk from the pedestrianized city center. So if you're staying close to the center, you'll be able to do most of your commuting on foot.
