Open Access and ULiège Library

For several years now, ULiège has pursued a strong and active policy of open access to scientific information:

POPUPS the Portal for the Publication of Scientific Periodicals

ORBi (Open Repository and Bibliography) the institutional repository of scientific publications

DONum the inter-university portal for heritage collections

MatheO (Master Thesis Online) for access to ULiège final year dissertations.

Opening hours

The library is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Tuesdays until 8 p.m.! (only during the academic period, from the end of September to the end of June).

Any changes to opening times, particularly during school vacations, are indicated on the ULiège libraries website, under Timetables (see Arlon - Environment).

Our grain library

A grain library is open to all (ULiège staff/students, people from outside the Institution, local residents, etc.) and only during library opening hours. You don't need to be registered to use it!

  • Through its barter system, it enables the exchange of different varieties of seeds (flowers, vegetables, fruit) from local harvests, in order to preserve and spread biodiversity.
  • Empty bags are provided for dropping off or picking up seeds, but it's perfectly possible to use other containers such as jars, envelopes, tea tins, etc
  • Gardening books and magazines are also available for borrowing (upon registration at the library)
  • Activities are organized, mainly in autumn and spring. To keep abreast of these events, simply subscribe to our mailing list: arlon.bibli@uliege.be

Our extras

  • The Arlon Campus library doesn't have a book you need? You can borrow it from another ULiège library, or from another Belgian or foreign library, via interlibrary loan.
  • Would you like to know the expiry date of your loans? Reserve a document? Make a purchase suggestion? You can do it all on MyLibrary (don't forget to log in first).
  • You can return books borrowed from another ULiège Library location, and we'll take care of returning them to the library that owns them.
  • Looking for a little escape? We've set up a cosy lounge just for you. Novels and comics are available to accompany you!
  • Find THE right document? Write a bibliography effortlessly? It's easy with ULiège Library's training courses and video tutorials. Subscribe to our Youtube channel to make sure you don't miss a single one!

Thank you so much for hosting yesterday.

I'm such a fan of your library.

I'll be back (lose myself in the books :)).
